Join us next Monday (25th) for the November Bath Group meeting when Dr Amy Frost will describe how the Beckford family amassed a huge fortune through their involvement with transatlantic slavery. This talk will explore the Beckford’s, revealing how Peter Beckford in 1661 started a business that would lead to his great grandson William building Beckford’s Tower in Bath, recently reopened following a major National Lottery Heritage Fund supported conservation project.
