Temperance movement in Victorian Bristol

“From the 1830s until the First World War, the temperance movement was one of the most powerful and visible lobby groups in the country.”

Find out more about the movement in Victorian Bristol from researcher Alan Clarke, getting our new season of meetings off to a fine start.

The meeting is on Monday 12th September and is “in-person” at BAWA in Bristol at 7.30pm. All are very welcome.

Members will also be able to watch online – details will be sent to them by email.
