The second volume was published in 2019 and is a continuation of the celebration of the women with a tangible connection to Bristol who she said “got stuff done”. The women may have been born in Bristol, died here or lived in the city for a significant proportion of their lives. Any woman who did something of public interest in or for Bristol was eligible to be included in the book. The only rule for entry was that the women must no longer be alive. This book celebrates the extraordinariness of the women and brings to light where they lived. An area you thought you knew well may suddenly become more interesting through their deeds. Again a fascinating read which would make a lovely gift.
