An Historical Map of BATH

An Historical Map of BATH

£9.99

An Historical Map of Bath showing the town in 1904, surviving and vanished buildings.

Bath is known internationally for the hot springs exploited by the Romans, and for its Georgian terraces and fine buildings.  it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on two counts.  But Bath existed in between the Romans and the Georgians as a monastic and cathedral centre, a textile town and a local market centre.  Its medieval walls survived until the 18th century, and parts of the modern road pattern date back to the time of King Alfred of Wessex.
