Ruth’s talk is based on the research carried out into her Irish ancestors but she looks at the subject with a different perspective. It all started with Ruth’s Great-Uncle Richard who sadly died at Ypres during the First World War. His Commonwealth War Graves record revealed who Ruth’s great-grandparents were and, during the following years, more discoveries were added to her family tree. Where does your story begin and where might it go next? What are the triumphs and tragedies that make up the chapters. Great family history is more than just gathering the records, it’s all about discovering the people who came before you and the lives they led.
