In view of current Covid-19 guidelines, Bristol Archives is able to offer a reduced service until further notice.
They can still answer enquiries/do copy orders etc. However the turnaround time on enquiries is going to be lengthened further, so please bear this in mind if you’re waiting for a response.
With regards to reopening to the public, they are waiting to see how the lockdown progresses. There is a possibility they may be able to open for a number of sessions before the Christmas break. If lockdown is extended, they will probably delay re-opening until Tuesday 5th January at the earliest.
When Bristol Archives finally re-opens, we plan to offer a limited Research Room service using a booking system – further details will be available nearer the time.
Note, this page will be updated whenever we get further information, so please continue to visit the page regularly.
