We invite you to join us for a coach trip to Hartland Abbey in North Devon on Tuesday 21st April 2026.
Built in the 12th century, the Abbey was owned by the Stuckley family and in 1539 Henry VIII gifted the Abbey and its grounds to the Keeper of his Wine Cellar and the descendants still live there today.
You can tour the house and you are free to look around the gardens and exhibitions or, if you prefer, enjoy a woodland walk of ½ mile to the beach. Lunch is available in the Old Kitchen Tea Rooms or feel free to bring a picnic lunch.
Pickup is in Coach Park H on the northern side of The Mall, Cribbs Causeway near Marks & Spencer. Parking at The Mall is free all-day. The Coach will depart promptly at 7.30am. At the end of the day, we depart the Abbey at 4pm for the return journey and expect to arrive back at The Mall by 8pm.
Tickets cost £45 per person for the coach and entrance to the Abbey and gardens. Tickets can be booked online at Ticket Source – there is no booking fee.
Enquiries should be emailed to Clare Hayward, secretary@bafhs.org.uk
