Researching Your Second World War Ancestors7:30pm 24th November, 2025 on Zoom

On Monday 24 November there will be a Bath Group meeting and talk entitled Researching Your Second World War Ancestors by Simon Fowler.

Join Simon as he shows you how to find out more about your parents and grandparents service in the forces and on the Home Front between 1939 and 1945. Whether they were Cockleshell Heroes, in Coastal Command or cooked in a Canteen this talk will start off this aspect of your family tree with a bang! There will be plenty of time to ask questions and discuss your research problems.

Simon is one of Britain’s most experienced family history teachers, writers and researchers. He worked for The National Archives on and off for over thirty years. He also edited Family History Monthly and Ancestors magazines.

The talk is online and begins at 7.30pm and is available to members only (joining details sent by email).
